Following President Bush's October 4, 2001 call "Now is the time-now is the time to root out evil so that our children and grandchildren can live with freedom as the beacon all around the world", OpenConcept worked closely with the Centre for Social Justice on this peace campaign in 2001-2003. This was a time sensitive campaign which needed a quick response to get media attention.
The campaign was very successful and gathered support from more than 25,000 virtual weapons inspectors. Although there was no mass border crossing to check for weapons of mass destruction, we all knew that they were there. A small team did go to DC and was successful in raising media attention on this issue. Some news coverage from the time is available from:
- Canadians to lead weapons inspection team into USA
- International Weapons Inspections Team Refused Access to U.S. Army Biological Weapons Site
- 'Arms Inspectors' Bolster Canadian Anti-war Movement
